Julia Keys, LMSW

Licensed Master Social Worker
PCIT Provider (Certification Track)

I believe that trust and connection between children and parents are at the core of positive mental health and healthy development. When children feel seen, understood, and supported by the adults who care for them, they are better able to manage big emotions, build confidence, and grow into resilient individuals. My goal is to help families strengthen that connection so children can thrive and parents can experience more clarity, confidence, and joy in their relationships with their children.

In my work, I bring warmth, patience, and genuine curiosity to every family I meet. I’m especially drawn to helping parents make sense of behaviors that feel confusing or overwhelming, and to supporting children as they learn to better understand and express their emotions. I believe that meaningful change happens when families are given thoughtful guidance, practical tools, and a space that feels safe and nonjudgmental.

PCIT Training and Clinical Experience

Julia Keys is a mental health therapist with a strong foundation in working with children who experience emotional and behavioral challenges. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Houston.

During her clinical training, Julia worked closely with elementary-aged children and adolescents navigating family transitions, peer relationship difficulties, academic pressures, and behavioral concerns. She has experience supporting children who struggle with emotional regulation, frustration tolerance, anger, executive functioning, and behavioral challenges.

Julia is currently working toward PCIT certification under the direct mentorship of Becca Wallace, LCSW, Training Director at PCIT Experts. Through this structured training process, she receives ongoing supervision and guidance as she deepens her clinical application of PCIT.

Her PCIT work is guided by evidence-based, relationship-centered principles and focuses on helping parents understand the why behind their child’s behavior while learning clear, effective strategies to support calmer, more connected interactions at home.
